Country Music a Eurovisió!

En l'edició que es celebrarà enguany del mític Festival d'Eurovisió, la cançó que representarà a Alemanya serà del grup country alemany Texas Lightning.

El tema es titula "No no never", i tot i tenir la típica tòpica tonada d'Eurovisió es podria considerar prou country, amb alguna steel guitar o banjo de fons musical.

En podeu escoltar un fragment i veure'n el videoclip a la web oficial del grup: http://www.texaslightning.net. També us podeu baixar fragments d'algun dels seus temes, com per exemple la versió que fan de la cançó "Man of constant sorrow" (Banda sonora de la pel·lícula O'brother).

El lema del grup és "It's not a joke, it's country" (no és cap broma, és country), però pel què he pogut anar veient no només versionen temes country sinó també d'altres estils, com ara el "Like a virgin" de Madonna o "Dancing queen" d'Abba. Entre les versions country hi ha temes com "Jackson" (Cash&Carter), "Amigo" (David Ball) o "C'est la vie" (Emmylou Harris).
